Neptune was the first planet discovered by mathematical calculation rather than empirical observation.
Pluto: 1/6 Earth's mass;
1/3 Earth's volume;
50-70%rock ( at its core) and 30-50% ice ( as the mantle) with a 100-180km sub-surface ocean layer at the core-mantle boundary.
Surface is 98% frozen nitrogen with traces of methane and carbon monoxide.
